The birth of a new world

1.      The “Occupy” movement

How fascinating to watch how certain planetary influences manifest in the world.

In 2011 we have seen people in Egypt, Syria, and Libya going to the streets in protest against the rigid political systems in place. We also saw a movement that started in Magrid on May 15th, 2011, and emerged in New York on the theme of Occupy Wall Street which was immediately followed by other such protests pretty much all over the world on the “Occupy” theme.

THE SHORT VERSION:  (no astrological jargon)

·                     The familiar world disintegrates; a new era takes place. A battle between the old and the new is happening all over the earth. Later in 2012 chaos and tension could become more turbulent. This is all an effect of a new world emerging.

THE LONG VERSION: (with astrological jargon)

Which planets are influencing it?

a)      Pluto in Capricorn:

The starting point of this global change cycle begins at the end of August 2008 when Pluto moved into the sign of Capricorn. That’s when the American economy crisis became public. This was a profoundly destabilizing occurrence that left lots of people facing personal dire reality.

Pluto will remain in Capricorn for 18 years. That’s long enough to produce a thorough transformation of the global establishment. As a matter of fact Capricorn represents the structures in our life as well as in the society. We usually get used to such systems and, often, to the point of becoming stagnant within them.

Pluto has a rough style of expression. When it gets somewhere it usually is quite loud, so to speak. It tends to create chaos before bringing about a new order. We certainly have observed various levels of chaos, all over the world, these past few years.

b)      Uranus in Aries:

Uranus made a brief move into Aries a first time in March 2010. That’s when the tragic oil spill occurred in the Gulf of Mexico. It returned again to stay for 7 years this time, on March 10th, 2011, and that’s when the gigantic earthquake occurred in Japan.

Uranus manifests quickly, unexpectedly, explosively like  a lightning.

c)      About Aries:

Aries is the first out of 12 signs. From an energy point of view anything that begins here will naturally evolve further until it has covered the whole zodiacal wheel.

Aries’ spontaneous character is the purest, boldest, bravest of all, animated with the desire to forge ahead, to explore, and to create. Aries is the sign of NEW BEGINNINGS.

d)     New beginnings:

When a planet arrives into Aries the whole world begins a rebirth process. This new theme will develop while incorporating the quality of each subsequent sign to reach its full maturity in the very last one, Pisces.

e)      Conflict between Capricorn and Aries:

These two signs don’t naturally get along. Capricorn is conservative and traditionalist; Aries likes to take chances and to improvise. Both signs are natural leaders and their influence is visible in the world.

f)       Rebellions:

Uranus is the master of rebellions and reforms. Uranus also is a planet of group action. In warrior and courageous Aries we see people very bravely going to the streets – in groups - to protest against the establishment related to politics, corporations, social justice, racial justice, human rights, and such.

The conflict: Aries points its finger to the old Capricornian establishment and demands change while Capricorn tries to preserve, maintain, or make things go back where we used to know them. At the moment protesters seem to be rather clear about what they don’t want anymore. The movement is too young, perhaps, to have come up with creative and effective suggestions that should replace what they now reject.

It appears that we are going toward a society where people will take more responsibility at the individual level to make sure that the whole is balanced but we have not reached this clarity yet.

Culturally we still are quite conditioned by what we have known so far. That’s why it is difficult to really have a vision of the new world. It’ll emerge. It is inevitable. We may need to go through more rough times throughout 2012, though. Tension may come to be quite chaotic and aggressive later in the spring and throughout the summer. Some of it caused by people and some, perhaps, by the nature itself.

One needs to be really clear where they stand in their heart in order to make the right choices during these times of transformation and relative uncertainty. The seeds of the new world already are within us and will grow as time goes by. An inspiring view of this global transformation is explained in the butterfly metaphor…

2.      The Butterfly: what is your stage of evolution?

There are natural stages supporting the evolution of the physical world. Each one of them must be completed properly before the next one can take place.

At what stage of your evolutionary journey would you say that you are? Let’s use the metaphor of the butterfly to figure it out.

Tanis Helliwell, spiritual teacher and author of Decoding Your Destiny, keys to humanity’s spiritual transformation (http://tanishelliwell.com/), describes it very well in her DVD Spiritual Transformation – Journey of Co-creation. She explains that for ages the butterfly has been representing the Soul.

She continues in saying that there are four stages that a butterfly goes through in its transformation and humans also go through the same four stages.

a)      1st stage: the egg

·         At this stage one is completely unconscious, not even into this reality, actually not born at all

·         Some people are so dependent on others that they don’t exercise their own will. They are in the “egg stage” of consciousness

b)      2nd stage: the caterpillar

·         It is very independent and totally self serving. Indeed it is completely driven by the desire to take. With a voracious appetite it’ll eat all the plants around it and, in fact, will destroy many plants that way

·         Some people also are very independent using their Ego or personality to get everything that they want. Our world has had its share of caterpillar like people who are just gobbling up all the resources of the earth, doing whatever they like without any boundaries or concern for others

c)      3rd stage: the cocoon

·         Lots of people right now are experiencing the cocoon like stage. They are fed up with what the Ego or personality has done to the world

·         They are experiencing a spiritual transformation and they are saying “Stop, I don’t want to be part of gobbling up everything in my world, or people, or resources. I want to be different than that. Surely there must be a different way”

·         They are starting to hear the Soul’s call but are not sure where they are supposed to go with it so they go into a cocoon which is the proverbial dark night of the Soul. They stay there working on themselves, undergoing their own transformation. As they get stronger, just like the caterpillar, time will come to be born as a butterfly

·         For a caterpillar the cocoon is actually the end of its personal life. It can’t envision that it’s going to be a beautiful butterfly. People in the cocoon stage can see what they have left behind and what they don’t want anymore. They have no idea how wonderful a life they are going to have when they become a butterfly

·         They are going by faith, trust, optimism, and incredible courage to stick to the path. That’s what will get them through to become a butterfly – not by the power of will but, instead, by their quiet attentiveness and surrender to the process

d)     4th stage: the butterfly

·         That stage of awakening is a Soul infused personality. Those humans grace us with beauty

·         The butterfly goes from flower to flower amongst all the different species of flowers, and fertilizes them. The butterfly doesn’t take from the world. It gives to it

·         That’s where co-creative humans are going. We all are becoming butterflies

3.      Self acceptance and reconciliation

No matter at what stage one finds themselves before the liberated butterfly it remains important to accept who we are NOW with love. That is the short cut to move through all the stages of evolution and to master all the lessons pertaining to each stage.

A person transition toward the next level increases their sensitivity. They become acutely aware of previous errors or wrong doing. Feelings of guilt or shame or anger may arise creating congestion and a delay toward the next phase. It is better to accept our previous ignorance with compassion and to reconciliate with who we were. It was all part of the plan. Eventually we’ll enter the Light. It is inevitable. It is our birth right. Nobody will be excluded by punishment. We are made in the substance of Love and Love always reunites.
